The Linenspa and Lucid mattresses have some very similar features (as well as some distinct differences). For this comparison, we have chosen two of the most comfortable and best-selling mattresses from each brand, the Linenspa Gel Memory Foam Hybrid and the Lucid Full Hybrid Mattress.
Both are available at similar prices, and both are hybrid mattresses. This leads to many people pitting the Linenspa vs Lucid when choosing which to purchase. Both offer fairly high profile 12-inch models of mattress in multiple sizes. This is another reason people often compare these two options.
As with most hybrid models, these two products are pretty good in terms of lifespans, too. Both have generous warranties provided by the manufacturers and in spite of being affordable, the Linenspa and Lucid are built to last. So, how have we split the two? Below, we look at the features of both of the models and compare which might be best for your own needs.

Both of these mattresses have a support core of pocketed coils, though the Linenspa has a huge 8” in this layer. There is then a gel memory foam and transitional polyfoam to add comfort. The memory foam is again applied on the top for softness.
The Lucid has a similar design. The pocketed coils have an inch of HD polyfoam on top. There is then a charcoal-infused memory foam which gives a great level of odor protection. Polyfoam above this has Aloe Vera infused. Finally, the knit fabric cover gives it a soft touch.
These mattresses both have plenty of reviews praising their comfort, but the comfort comes in two different forms. It is likely that you will have a preference as these two models provide comfort in different ways, with a different firmness.
The Soft (3.5) Linenspa is great for lightweight people who like to sleep on their side. Some heavier folk may find it more difficult to stay so comfy on this, especially side and stomach sleepers. Heavier people will more likely enjoy the medium firmness of the Lucid mattress when making a Lucid vs Linenspa comparison.
The airflow of the Linenspa helps it to keep cool. While there is no specific design feature for this such as a cooling pad, the airflow keeps the temperature relatively neutral.
The Lucid option may not be quite as good if you are looking for something to stay cool and comfortable through the night. Some of their users have described them as heat traps, and it can be tough to keep comfortable. The ventilation has improved somewhat in recent years, but this is one of the compromises of a cheaper mattress.
The Linenspa has a good quality memory foam cover and a layer within which are designed to help with motion transfer, but they don’t quite do as good a job as many foam beds or more expensive hybrids.
The Lucid mattress has more liberal foam which helps a lot with motion transfer and means you’re less likely to wake up your partner with your movements.
The pocketed coils of both mattresses work to limit motion transfer, especially when compared to foam-only mattresses.
Most hybrid design mattresses tend to be pretty responsive to movement, and these are no exception. While they wouldn’t be the most responsive choice on the whole of the market, they’re both more than acceptable.
Again, the foam provides a fair level of bounce. The Lucid does a better job of this due to its medium firmness. The Linenspa is not really designed to offer a huge amount of bounce.
Due to the softness of the Linenspa, the edge support has been reinforced. It is encased in an outer foam edging which gives more support than many other soft mattresses around the edges.
Edge support is one area where the Lucid mattress could be caught wanting. It can get a little soft around the edges.
Both of these mattresses follow the pattern a huge number of hybrids do. They require a couple of days to adequately get rid of gas and the smell that they naturally have out of the box. Give these a couple of days with the windows open and both the Linenspa and Lucid should smell much better.

*Out of 10
As you can see, the heavier you are, the more the Lucid lends itself to your needs. For those who weigh less than 130 lbs, the side and back sleepers out there may find that the Linenspa is more preferable. It certainly is very soft.

A sleep trial of 100 days is available for both of these models. This means that if you change your mind within 100 days of purchase you can send it back for a refund. These sleep trials are very useful, and 100 days is about industry standard.
A 10-year limited warranty is on offer with both the Linenspa and Lucid models of mattress. This warranty extends to a full refund if anything goes wrong with your mattress within this time frame.
Both of the mattresses we’ve compared are shipped to you in small, compact containers. They don’t require multiple people to deliver them. They then inflate and de-gas over the coming days, turning into full-sized mattresses that are ready to use. Keep in mind delivery is only offered to the 48 contiguous states for both brands.

This really is a case of matching up your mattress to your own needs. If you are a smaller sleeper and you like to sleep on your side then the Linenspa may be for you. People who are in the market for a very soft, affordable mattress that also manages to have good edge support often swear by this model.
If you’re larger, there’s no comparison to be made when it comes to Lucid vs Linenspa. Lucid will be the only option out of the two to give the right level of support to those who weigh 180lbs or more. They can build up heat, but have a good level of bounce and responsiveness.
Both of these mattresses are built to last a long time, and represent good value for money. Just evaluate your needs before taking the plunge.
